    A Bard's Tale (Taliesin)

Thursday, July 26, 2007, 01:10 AM CST [General]

A beast woman and her children,
    Angry about her boy.
    Unable to see his worth,
She brews up her own to give him.

    Reading, mixing, mashing, and boiling.
A plan that will take a year and a day.

The laborers to do her work.
The powerful youth and the blind, wise man.
Stir, bit by bit, and toss another log.
Sing a song, DANCE, and juggle the nearby bottles.

    Time streams by...

SCATHING HOT DROPS came in three.
To sooth the wound by a kiss,
    A simple reflex...

    ROAR!
A thunderous sound bellowed from the beast's creation,
A broken caldron, black and foaming ooze.
A boiling poison seeped into the tender earth.

The youth had begun his journey.

    Worlds opened up,
Knowledge had become a ravaging river,
Flooding his tender mind, the forces of creation.

    Nothing known was unknown

    The beast is coming!
    FEAR
    R u n n i n g
    Changing
    S w i m m i n g
    Changing
    F l y i n g
    Changing
    Hidden among the grain?

    Consumed by Darkness,
Inside the belly of the beast

    Swelling, Swollen, Pregnant?
    Swelling, Swollen, Pregnant!

    The youth became hers.
    Reborn by the beast herself.
    Too beautiful to end,
    Too hated to care for.

The babe was given to the sea,
    DANCE along the waves.
Born a third time onto the shores,
Into the arms of a prince.

Here to tell the tales that define mankind.

    Beltane Crossing

Sunday, May 6, 2007, 10:59 AM CST [General]

So, at Beltane I did something that I had been putting off.  I made the decision of which grove to cross into.  I could choose to cross into my teacher's teacher's grove or my teacher's grove (sound confusing?).  I chose Mama Shae's (my teacher's) grove.  The Grove of the Celtic Tree of Life is its name.  It is just in its seedling form.  Once Mama Shae has her house set up (still dealing with Rita destruction) I will be able to help her start building our sanctuary.  I'm looking forward to it even though it will be hard work (or maybe because it is hard work?).

    Dream

Friday, April 20, 2007, 10:41 AM CST [General]

First part of the dream, I was in some rich guy's house, waiting around for him to come back.  It almost felt like a pilgrimage that I had taken to get here.  Very big house, but not showy, just roomy and comfortable.

Second part of the dream, I set up a tent on what looked like a cliff.  Viewing it later, it turned out to be an inclined dock (someone covered-up the dock's top with clay, soil, and grass).  My aunt Bonnie and a friend of mine (who is not a waking friend, may just be generic 'friend') were staying behind the rest of the family who went to some event.  I set up the tent and decided to leave off the rain fly.  I go into the tent for awhile and it starts to rain and gust.  Since I didn't fully set up the tent, the stakes weren't down, and a corner of the tent started to fold inward.  I quickly zip up the windows and doors and go outside to throw the rain fly on (but don't have time to strap it down) and throw two more tarps on generic camping gear.

Later on, I step outside after the rain cleared to find a bum on the base end of the dock trying to sell some lighter fluid and a zippo lighter.  Having been wanting a (working) zippo for some time, I go and listen.  Turns out he was selling the zippo for $6.  I know a good deal when I hear one so I go grab my friend and ask him if he has change for a twenty.  Turns out he kind of does, but I'd be missing a few dollars in the transaction.  So I exchange the twenty dollar bill for the almost twenty in change (a few bills and a few coins).  Before I could buy the zippo, I woke up.
